Subject: 3-d toonage from the '30s
I first saw this on TV as a child, and it has stuck with me ever since. I have it on a dollar-store comp of "Gumby and Friends", and it'll do you good to download it from the Archive.

Apparently, it was based on a pop tune from that time (making it an early form of music video, perhaps). The real highlight of the toon is the landing on the moon, which mixes 2-D animation with 3-D effects (no glasses needed). I watched it with my 21-year-old son who was astounded by the combination...moreso because it was done about 70 years ago.

An absolute stone classic. Download it now!

Probably one of my all time fave cartoons, I am quite sure I saw this on a Matinee At The Bijou episode.. Or was it the Fleischer special hosted by Leonard Maltin? I think it's the former. Anyways, cute animal couples go to the moon to dance and be merry, except for one lonesome cat. Love it.
