The Art Treasure Story (Dangerous Assignment)
Season 1, episode 27.
Original air date: 17 March 1952.
Cast: Brian Donlevy (Steve Mitchell), Adele Jergens (Marilyn), George Wallace (Texas Ranger), Nestor Paiva (brunner), Joseph Mell (stoltz), John Parrish (Conductor) and Ted Hecht (Varga).
From IMDB.
Good scenario but bad writing and bad acting (over-acting). The editing is very bad. So bad editing and acting with a better average scenario.

Brian Donlevy Great As "Steve Mitchell" In Dangerous Assignment
What a special "treat" to see the television version of "Dangerous Assignment." I had listened to the original radio version as a child and was able as an adult to again listen to it on the radio counterpart of the Archives. Brian Donlevy is excellent as Steve Mitchell, the plot is good, and the supporting cast quite competent.

Decent Outing
I found my first viewing of a "Dangerous Assignment" episode to be an amicable time-passer.
The script was decent for a 50s cop show. Brian Donlevy generally made the best out of his lines.
The Nazi-themed plot and the tight train location added interest.
In support are Nestor Paiva and Adele Jergens. Paiva was able to play lovable or nasty with equal mastery; he's portraying an amusing lunatic here.
If you are sympathetic to the genre or the players, I think you will find this worth the watch.
