Knowing I was attending this show, I started listening to some of the other shows on the tour. Many of them sound great. It is very clear that John Mayer is completely enjoying himself onstage, and the rest of the band is a benefit of that resurgence of fun.
This show blew me away!!! They were playing so tight, and the crowd benefitted. When Oteil and Bob are barefoot onstage, you know they are comfortable. It's like playing in your living room.
I got 4 firsts: Black Throated Wind, The Weight, St. Stephen, and The Eleven.
In my opinion, Mayer compliments Jerry without offending. He is a steward of the style and feeling.
I highly recommend taking time to listen, and hope you get the positive experience I received.
