An old Irish family is haunted by dark secrets around the death of a little girl seven years earlier. Two women, one married into the family and one soon to be, start unraveling the secrets at a price that couldn't have imagined.

Reviewer:inselpeter - - October 6, 2009 Subject: Fantastic Debut? This is either Francis Ford Copola's directorial debut, or one of his very first films. It is first rate, as such, with some good performances and interesting shots and sequences. Fine photography.
Reviewer:zythmer - - August 11, 2008 Subject: Good suspense film This is more of a mystery/suspense than a horror movie. It is good enough that it kept my attention which doesn't always happen with public domain movies. The story isn't very complex but the atmosphere keeps you interested.
If you like this, you may like Carnival of Souls too.
