Jonathan 'Brightstar' Fields.hack//Infection Part 1 (PS2) - 3:15:17 - Jonathan Fields (2005)

Speed run of .hack//Infection Part 1 in 15 segments completed on April 10 2005. One of the parts is missing. Available in three versions: low quality, normal quality, and 60 fps high quality.

Author's comments:
Hey everyone. This run went through a lot of revisions, including a complete restart when I ended up with a run that didn't have enough virus cores to open the next area. As i'm sure you'll notice, one of the great pinicle moments of this run are my level up runs. these aren't your ordinary runs. It takes 1000 EXP to level up, however by using a combination of strong weapons, and mage souls, its possible to level up very quickly as soon as you get to Theta server by immediately going to a lvl 30 area and looking for the goblin like creatures. This wouldn't work with others, and I wish there had been more monster warps, but overall things couldn't have gone any faster.

Once I've leveled up the only thing i've gotta take care of is some final core collecting and then I head for skeith. I skipped Guardiania and Sanjuro, and I swap back and forth between characters because Piros in the end ends up around the same level as everyone else when I take him for Skeith. Besides, who would want to listen to Piros's music the whole game. You'll notice that I take the careful route in the skeith fight. It takes a little longer, but I didn't have enough money to support both my party and myself in items, so the only part where Kite contributes in that battle is for the final strike.

I wont be doing the rest of the series for a while due to the fact that my PS2 has died quite litterally. The BIOS won't even start. Keep an eye out for my next run which is almost finished at this point, Phantasy Star on Phantasy Star Collection on the GBA. (I'd do the master system version, but I never owned that system.)
