Es gibt den Stoner der auch mal trinkt und es sich bei Seed gut gehen lässt. Es gibt aber auch den Alkoholiker, der sich hin und wieder eine zwirbelt. Den trifft man dann, für den Hinweis bin ich der Dorfdisko dankbar, nicht bei Seed, sondern auf den Konzerten von Drive By Shooting. Da steht dann die klassische Dreierkombination auf der Bühne, bestehend aus Angel (Gesang, Gitarre), Timo (Bass, 2. Stimme) und Kulm (Schlagzeug).
Die Band spielt einen Stonerpunk, der aus kurzen Stücken besteht, in die allerdings dank des Tempos alles reinpasst. Passenderweise lautet die Internetadresse dazu also www.punkrock-in-stonerland.de.vu. 2006 brachte die Band, nachdem man zuvor etliche Splits, Vinyls, Tapes und Singles herausgebracht hatte, ihr erstes Album "Problem Child" heraus.
2007 ging die Band mit den Marble Sheeps auf Tour (der Musicchannel berichtete), die sehr erfolgreich verlief. Das letzte Konzert der Tour fand am 21. Dezember 2007 in Berlin statt. Kurz darauf stellten Drive By Shooting den Livemitschnitt bei Archive.org ins Netz und versahen das Ganze mit einer Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Lizenz. Tolle Sache, diese Alkoholiker.
Beeinflusst wurden die Musiker durch Legenden wie Dead Kennedys und die Ramones ebenso wie von Glueciver, Motörhead, Refused den Marble Sheeps, Slime, den Ton Steine Scherben und vielen, vielen mehr. Der Einfluß von Motörhead ist dabei kaum zu übersehen.
