Description

Poem by Sandra Eros, music composed and performed by David W Solomons.

(see also video: Camden Town

See pdf file for score and ogg or mp3 file for my performance.

This is a lament for the poor and dispossessed of any town, who nevertheless have dreams of a better place.

The guitar sequence was composed in a tiny patch of green in a London Square, a very strange evening....

(I have become aware, over the years, that some people think this song may have a connection with the Red Hot Chilli Pepper's song Camden Town. I have to say it hasn't any connection at all with that song! So if you came here with that in mind, I hope you will enjoy this song anyway...)
