Brugmann's German work of Comparative (Grundriss der vergleichendcn) Grammar of the Indo-Germanic Languages was in volume one titled Elements of Comparative Grammar ...; in volume 2-4 "Elements" was dropped; vol 5 is Indices to all volumes. It appears in Google and Archives that the confusion increased as the two titles were attributed to the volumes at random. Thus under "Elements are found most or all the volumes, not correctly numbered; under "Comparative" most the volumes are found and again at times incorrectly numbered. I do not know why the files I originally submitted turned out thus, one out of the 5 correct, the others incomplete or blank. Here I spent a day examining each of Googles and Archives copies and selected the best files. I have altered the title to vol.1 to agree with the other volumes, and Added "Elements" after the title and before the "Introduction". I wished I was better skilled in my original submission to have caught and correcred the mistakes and confusion. I will submit this collection under both titles. I also offer the 5 vol. set in two volumes for those who like the work. mjm,2012. SEE new submission 2012 titled "Comparative Grammar Indo-Germanic Languages Elements. Phonology. Morphology."
