Ellen Swallow Richards was the first woman to graduate from MIT. Richards was also a renowned environmental chemist and the founder of the field of Home Economics. This 25 minute video features Joyce Miles (35 year member of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences - which Richards helped found) in a one woman show that explores the legacy of this fascinating woman.
