Bobby ShakespeareBobby Shakespeare - F*ck The Industry Standard [aCb.nl.0008] (September 7, 2004)

Bobby has been known to break a few chairs. All the more reason we alpha cats are excited to bring out his first album as the newest addition to our artist roster.

Crafted during a time of intense personal scrutiny, here we have the finest tracks produced by Bobby, of which there were many. You can expect to be rocked by the ultra-tectonic vibrations of Manfire glory, visits to happy places and trippy cafeteria halls shaken by divine beats. Need we say more? Check it or thou shalt certainly wreck thine self.

This is indeed excellent, I can only concur with other reviewrs, it has enough beat to make it a cogent listen but enough broken to keep you in there and does many different things very well. Great stuff

I've listened to a lot of (IDM) stuff on here (archive.org) but this is without a doubt one of the best.

There is a lot technically decent music around but this is one of the few artists that actually make their tracks "work".

This is totally bizzare...imagine Autechre after a night of heavy drinking and psylobin, and you might get the picture. One of those you throw on the dancecrowd, watch them start moving, and then begin looking around thinking "what the hell is this s**t"? An instant classic!!

Subject: Amazing...
Mr. Shakespeare's opus is a total treat to listen to, considering the almost schizophrenic array of styles that he takes liberty in. This makes for one heck of a musical ride, and one excellent album to listen to. Fuck The Industry Standard indeed.

Standout tracks (IMHO): Pretty Baby Input, I Was An Eye, Motherfucker, Eskimo Porn, and So Long Old Pal (which reminds me a bit of Boards Of Canada).

Well done, Bobby :).

this one continues the tradition of the greatest tracker releases from vim, proswell or sometimes mortimer twang.
