FREE WHEEL on FSK 93 FM, 101.4 on cable and streaming over the Internet at fsk(hyphen)hh(dot)org broadcasting from the heart of Hansatown Hamburg, Germany.
Football fever – oh, excuse me my Anglo-American radio friends – soccer fever, has gripped everyone lately and tonight, while FREE WHEEL is on the air, the German team will play the American team. If they play to a friendly 1-1 tie, then they will probably both move on to the next stage. But to tell you the truth, I really am not so excited by it all. FIFA is so corrupt, and the games have been so poorly refereed on so many occasions that it’s no fun watching any more. The smart players have all gone home anyway, to enjoy some down time in the summer before the madness resumes again in August.
On this evening’s FREE WHEEL I have Chris Hedges interviewing Noam Chomsky. Two heavyweight advocates for social justice exchanging questions and answers. Luckily, lots of people download FREE WHEEL from archive.org and so even if you were busy watching football, you will still be able to enjoy Hedges and Chomsky.
Besides them, there is Mort Sahl with some very excellent comedy near the end, and a radio play entitled Nothing Changes.
Plus some rather heavy music with lots of powerful guitar riffs in between.
So sit back, relax and enjoy FREE WHEEL and I shall in one way or another, talk to you later.
