Recorded on December 1, 1931 in New York City. Ashley plays guitar and sings, with Gwen Foster on guitar and harmonica. The sexual connotations are rather obvious.

The twelve bars and the straightforward sexual symbolism make this an obvious black blues; the close connections between white and black singers at this time are well-established.

Holy cow!
I just listened to the words for the first time. It's a really provocative song!

My Sweet Farm Girl
This song is close in relation to Blind Lemon Jefferson's "See That My Grave Is Kept Clean" in the way the tune is presented here. The verses are made from various vagrant mounatain blues lines and from early jazz.
Unfrortunately, Ashley's lead guitar palying is somewhat obscured by Gwen Foster's strong rhythm fills and runs. All in all, it is a good one. But just listen for yourself.
