The Wang is the former Boston Music Hall. Grateful Dead amongst many other bands played here back in the so called Day...

Thad, did you listen to the whole show? Also, “Built to Last” was played on the first night (4/5/12), not this show.
As far as I can tell, "Morning Dew" was pretty sick. John’s guitar was really cool…was that delay or was he actually playing that echo into the melody?
One of the things I have always loved about the Dead is that they are not a cookie cutter band and don’t have to fit the mold. They are a work in progress and that is what makes this music so exciting. They can play on the softer side one night and tear the roof off the next. No song is ever played exactly the same way twice, and we are always reaching for the ultimate…“gold ring down inside.”
P.S. Who doesn’t miss dancing in the isles and love drums and space? My advice is to spend more time chillin’, and less time being critical.
“Inch your way through Dead dreams to another land.”

Further is the closest thing we have to the real deal (although Xtra Ticket gives them a run for the roses) I totally disagree with the last reviewer, and this is an extremely well played Further show. And yes, the set list is unfunking believable. I only hope that I get to see Further before it's gone too, and after listening to this show, it's a necessary. The music NEVER stopped!!!

...and the musicians for keeping the spirit alive. To each his/her own. But these guys just don't do it for me. This is awful. The guitar player is a horrible singer (assuming that is who is warbling through the Built to Last material?).
Nice keyboard work though. I will grant them that.

While it seems you have seen the band with Jerry and post-Jerry much more than I have, I would agree that this was a very interesting mix of tunes, all over the time period map! I have seen Furthur now 4 times and this was by far the best show I have seen, they seem to be insync, in time and all on the same page. I saw a bunch of smiles between all them throughout the show as well! While I have not heard any of this audio yet, I plan to listen tonight and re-do my review if I need to. Had a great time before the show at the Tam hanging out with a bunch of heads! The vibe inside the Wang was amazing. I loved the Viola and the Dew were the highlights for me! Can't wait to gve it a listen, wish I had gone Thursday night too! My rating reflects that fact I have not listened yet! After giving this a listen, it is a 5 stars! I had a blast here at this one

As others have pointed out the setlists so far this tour have been amazing. That's probably the best thing about Furthur. They play shows with songs from throughout the dead timeline in a single night and they often seque different songs together than the dead would have. It makes for an interesting night every time.

Best I have seen yet (I have seen about 11 Furthur)... Set One was great Foolish Heart we are rolling, into Duprees was great. Estimated came out of nowhere, and the guitar playing/keys were amazing... Then for the kicker, I was listening to 6-11-76 (same venue) set one on the way down, it mustve been the roses, they played it and I just felt the power of the walls, Onto Just a Little Light never seen them do a brent tune, never seen any of the incarnations (TOO, Ratdog, Phil, The Dead) play a Brent tune, being a giant fan of Mr. Mydland, I was just floored. Then Stranger>Viola Lee, just on fire.
II: Mr. Fantasy, still with Brent on the mind, and Jack Straw, really felt special that night, people were really behind this tune fans/band really clicking, listen to the end of it amazing chimenti/JK work... then Mountains Of The Moon>Mason's Children>Dark Star>Let It Grow>Dark Star It was this mix of liquid space and jazz and rock and roll just woven so nicely, only live grateful dead music could make sense of. Honestly I thought they were done Boom Throwing Stones, Bobby getting fired up as hell Passenger and Dew. It was just crazy, really had me guessing, Box Encore, to pull everything together...great list well played... Thanks for taping to relive the memories, cheers.
I loved the place, and the people there, and remember its not just about the list or the music, its the playing, the people and the space, I was really feeling it that night.

For some reason I can't see the audio on this link but I was at the show and I think this is the best setlist I've ever seen them do. Execution was right on throughout. It may have been the best mix of tunes I've ever seen in over 40 years of seeing "the band" in any of its forms.Anyone else agree? Thanks to all the tapers over all these years. RR
