Notes
Notes: 3nd night of the Red Rocks 2012
Furthur tour. Furthur played 2 sets.
First letter of each song spell "Steal
your Face". So this was a theme driven
show. Second set never let up and
was very well played.
Recorded using 3 sets of mics. Mic's on
stand at 7 feet. The sound at the venue
was very good to excellent. Sounding of
the recording is very good to excellent.
Crowd noise very minimal.
Performance: A+
Sound Quality: A-

In my opinion, I prefer Phil just doing what he does best. JK is pretty darn good on the lead vocals for Eyes.
Believe me, I am thrilled all these guys are out there pushing it (and sounding great doing it). However... Somehow... I'd love to also see the driver keys for one of these tunes land in JK's lap as well: Franklins, Bird Song, FOTD, Loose Lucy. To me, the whole band sounds better. Or even the alternating between Tennesse Jed, Touch of Grey, GDTRFB, Dark Star, etc. These great tunes lose consistency. Now perhaps I am just being too picky.
I will just go back to being very grateful for the EYES given on this night.
*Pretty nice pull taper.
