Maria de Lourdes Bravo da Costa Rodrigues, has a Master’s in History and Library and Information Science, and is a Senior Librarian at the State Central Library in Panjim. She is the author of five books, Tasty Goan Morsels, Feasts, Festivals and Observances of Goa, Remembering Goa, 100 Years of Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Lifestyle (1910-1961). She has presented papers at various conferences in Asia and Europe which have been published in the proceedings of the referred conferences. She is a regular columnist with the daily Gomantak Times and also contributes to other newspapers and magazines.

These are subdivided into general, pretending, board and card games for the first group and the street, exertion and skill games for the second. The book covers as well, the historical background of types of games played in Goa using different published sources and brings back the different methods and rhymes used to select the players.
