Manchester, UK. 22nd June 2006. A public rally takes place in the Friends Meeting House, central Manchester on the subject of "After the 2006 elections: where next for Respect?". Respect is a new anti-war political coalition designed to provide a political alternative to the warmongering Labour, Liberal and Conservative parties.

The speakers were Lindsey German, national convenor of the Stop the War Coalition, and Nahella Ashraf--the Respect candidate in the local elections in May 2006 who received 21% of the vote in the Manchester ward of Rusholme.
