When Captain Casey Reardon (played by Harry Guardino) learns that notorious gangster boss Enzo Cortino (Paul Stevens) possesses a secret ledger which could potentially be used to bring him to justice and said ledger is supposedly within the possession of his girlfriend Helena Varga (Louise Sorel), Reardon sends a brash but known for getting results, spirited and spunky young black female detective named Christie Love (Teresa Graves) on undercover assignment hoping she will be able to get to the heart of what makes Helena Varga tick so Ms. Varga will be convinced to co-operate and with her aid and possibly that of Cortino's "ledger", the police will finally be able to bring down Enzo Cortino once and for all.

Minor cult classic
Graves is gorgeous in a series of still-cool outfits but never really seems 'in' to the role. I can't help thinking how much better Angela Bassett would have been as Love had she been around back then. The real star of this picture is Louise Sorel, particularly her final scene. Also deserving kudos is Graves' stunt woman, who owns several fight scenes. Watch out for a fab crash set-piece in the last half of the picture. Beware of a racial slur in opening scene, though Graves throws it back in her own funky style.

Teresa Graves KICKS BUTT!
I love this movie! I'm a mega fan of Blaxploitation and this is a great example of the genre! Teresa Graves don't play no games in this movie! Thank you K-otic for another awesome gem!

The Show
While it was a series on television I watched this show, it is a fun show, and Ms. Graves is really good. Kinda like a dark skinned Betty Hutton.
