This is the third volume of the "Pompa Funebris" of Greg Fox from 2006. The second and third parts are extremely closely related and are therefore called volumes 2a and 2b. This is volume 2b and closes off the pair of volumes which together make volume 2.
The music is chance-based and sine wave based and this volume (2b) is 59m37s in duration.
Of all the music so far written around this collection, this is the one I'd like played at my own personal funeral if the occasion arises in the near future.
I'm feeling extremely suicidal at the moment but thankfully there are practical barriers to actually carrying out what cannot logically be considered a bad idea. Please note that I am not in any way advocating or encouraging anyone else to "do anything silly", nor am I expressing any intent myself. As I said, there are firm practical barriers at present which make this act of creation the nearest thing I have to what would satisfy me the most.
The structural document shows how the ten component sine-wave streams are implemented. The content of the ten streams is provided in the form of a data table, in Excel format and as a graphic file. For volume 2b, the data was read horizontally, from left to right.
In the structural diagram, where the number "1" appears, it means "all the 1s" - in other words stream 1 with stream 2, then stream 1 with stream 3, then stream 1 with stream 4, and so on...similarly for the others but with no repeats (ie. "all the 4s" begins with stream 4 and stream 5, etc.)
The mysterious section in grey is a series of trios: streams 1 2 3, then 4 5 6, 7 8 9, 10 1 2, 3 4 5, 6 7 8, 9 10 1, 2 3 4, 5 6 7 and finally 8 9 10.
