Greg FoxConfessions of a Teenage Sociopath, Volume 2 (June 21, 1989)

This is the second remastered tape from my childhood basically - it's a collection of very early compositions and drastic interpretations of "popular classics" - really appalling and off-the-wall, but thought I'd share it for a laugh..... the Grieg Piano Concerto, played on cheesy synths with lots of changed notes (and mistakes etc) is pretty weird, and the Moonlight Sonata, well I'm not gonna spoil it for you by describing it...... jeepers......!!
Don't judge me on this nonsense please!!!! If you find these pieces amusing, there's volume one, and volume three to follow (which is less comical), and I'd appreciate it if you could download a more "mature" track as well LOL
nb. Please don't click on the 'whole item' link, as it only points to track one. I'll remove this message when I can fix the bug. For now please use the 'individual track' download links. I'd suggest that 64kbps MP3 format is adequate for these recordings.

Notes

The tape dates from the 21st of June 1989. The performances of Beethoven, Mozart and Grieg are highly unorthodox with a lot of "changing the notes" and stylistic aberrations. The compositions are extremely early - the very first pieces I wrote. This is a 14-year-old's view of the world, and I don't stand by any of the quality in terms of self-representation, but I hope it's of some amusement and/or interest. Certainly the approach to interpretation was/is quite unusual. It was never intended to be disrespectful, by the way.

nb. Please use the 'individual file' links for the music, rather than 'whole item' as that currently only points to track one.

Subject: Awesome-- the best in the series!
The Grieg Concerto is worth the price of admission alone. Extremely flamboyant in its organ/synth/synth harpsichord form, it would make excellent silent film music. It makes me laugh in its youthful boldness and combination of virtuosity and poetic license. Purists, stay away.
