redbeardarggg,
The file is included in this compilation here:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/spiritual-chanting-volume/id566499762
...and I do not find these songs listed on the Chanticleer website. I would be interested to know the source and copyright information for sure, but the inclusion of (at least one) of these songs in the linked album, at least gives me reason to hope it is PD until otherwise.

For those asking, this is sung by Chanticleer. The recording is not actually public domain.

A sweet, cool drink of water for the psyche. Professionally (if that word applies) performed. Fine recording.

In case anyone is wondering, this is a recording of part of Palestrina's Missa Pro Defunctis (aka Requiem mass).

The first track is monophonic, not polyphonic. It is the Gregorian Chant Dies Irae, the day of God's wrath.
