Singing (Bing Crosby), comedy (George Burns), more singing-sort of (George Burns AND Bing), dancing (Some black woman and her big black men co-dancers, more singing (The Mamas & the Papas -yeah really - the Mamas and the Papas), Comedy Skit (Sid Caesar)
Just the thing for quiet family evening at home making home-made popcorn after helping the kids with their homework. The boy having put away his model kit for this evening's progress to dry as he lies in front of the tube/console propping his head up on his elbows; while little daughter having parked upon a pillow carefully arranges the folds in her dress to form a perfect circle around herself - both eagerly anticipating Bing's beautiful baritone. Papa puts down his paper as mama brings in the popcorn - and the show begins. At least that's the way we thought is was.... or shoulda been.
