Rights
On 1/12/06, Andrew Fogelsong received the following email granting permission:
Andrew,
I apologize for taking so long to get back to you. I've talked with the other fellows and we are all fine with our live material being hosted on the Live Music Archive. I was browsing through it, and it seemed like a very cool endeavor that you are putting together, and we would be happy to be part of it. Hopefully, this would cut back on people selling these recordings on e-bay and the like.
However, we're not sure how to set up restrictions or control the quality of Hum content that is hosted. None of us have very much time, ( nor the desire:) ), to listen to our live concerts and see if they are up to snuff.
Hopefully, there is a simple way to approach this problem. Is there some sort of generic "rights" agreement? We would definitely want to reserve the right to remove any content we find objectionable at our request. Any suggestions of how other bands usually handle it?
Thanks, Jeff
