JACK WALSH was born and bred in Brooklyn, New York and has made it his life's work to be a steward of the borough's musical and cultural landscape.

For three decades now, Walsh has played a substantial role in producing the
Celebrate Brooklyn! performing arts festival which is staged annually at the Prospect Park band shell. The festival brings top notch production standards and world class talent to Brooklynites and New York City visitors free of charge.

The 2010 season will kick off in June with Brooklyn resident and international Jazz sensation Norah Jones and continues throughout the Summer showcasing an impressive line-up of music, dance, spoken word and film exhibitions.

Today's edition of Initiative Radio leaves listeners with little doubt that Walsh's passionate dedication to bringing the best of Brooklyn to New York City and an international audience is the reason why he remains committed to Celebrate Brooklyn! season after season.

Celebrate Brooklyn! performing arts festival falls under the auspices of BRIC Arts Media Brooklyn. Jack Walsh is Director of Performing Arts, BRIC Arts Media Brooklyn and Executive Producer of Celebrate Brooklyn Festival. He is also an accomplished guitar player.
