Shaping San Francisco TalksInfrastructure_Wars (March 8, 2006)

A 3-part radio program based on a Public Talk at CounterPULSE on March 8, 2006, under the Shaping San Francisco Spring Talks series. A historical look at how San Franciscans have fought for a human-centered city. From saving Telegraph Hill, stopping freeways, and resisting redevelopment, the corporate agenda has been thwarted again and again. Today new movements are again contesting the direction of the city. We'll have a look at the historic Burnham Plan and other ideas for reshaping the city. With Chris Carlsson, Kyle Pederson, Calvin Welch.
