On July 29, 2011 permission was granted for the LMA:
"Hi.. my name is Lob. I am the core participant and conceptual artist behind the project INSTAGON. (www.instagon.com) Instagon was started in 1993 as a live performance experience for both band and audience. The idea behind the project is to have live jams, un-planned improvisations, between different musicians and artists all the time. Since 1993 Instagon has performed over 575 shows and has never rehearsed, practiced, or appeared with the same ensemble on stage AS Instagon. Nearly ALL of these performances have been audio documented and there are live recordings in my archives in many formats...cassettes, DAT, MD, audio files, etc.. I would like to start uploading some of these live recordings for your live music archive. I would also like to grant permission for INSTAGON recordings to be uploaded by other people as well. Instagon is an open project for anyone to be a part of .. and for recordings to be shared.. we regularly print "tapers welcome" on flyers and handbills. we like documentation.. before its gone in an instant. I am the only continual member of this project and I have the only authority needed and required per your instructions.. I have had numerous people suggest that I begin uploading and archiving MY archive.. and so i am taking their suggestion and contacting you to begin this process somehow..

I am the founder of Instagon.. started Feb. 2 1993 & playing live continually still currently. Instagon is described as :"thee oddest Jam band in all thee land"
Never the same line up twice.. you never know just WHO will appear on stage with Instagon.. I here by give permission for etree and archive.org to allow a collection page for the project "Instagon" to be formulated and constructed for the purpose of posting an archive of the history of the audio deamon Instagon, from California.
