We will keep fighting for all libraries - stand with us!
Various people had helped out in small ways so Jerome and I could summon this interview. After Ma'am Rara had cast her topics to her hapless students, like the grace of an angel a friend of Jerome's offered the kind and giving Sir Palmones to interview, thereby in the span of a few seconds wiping out the anxious search for a hapless interviewee. His availability came almost on a whim, and right after J18 class, in short notice and without a recording device at hand, we gathered our wit and charm and sought help from school friends, to which Jerome's friend lent us a memory card for much recording time on his recording cellphone. We had also equipped ourselves with the direction to the ABS-CBN area, prepared one or two questions right before facing Sir Palmones himself, and in calm panic went adlib through most of the way, thanks to Sir who in his natural reporting ways read our minds and shared us more than what we needed before we even thought of asking. He also found no need to be paid in return, with dessert or whatelse.
The best way to thank those who have helped us out is to pay it forward. I hope this bit of data aids people studying the works of the radio industry in the Philippines, to fans of Sir Palmones besides Jerome and I, and to J18 students helplessly bound to do their own interview.
