Sounds good brother- maybe a little too crispy around the 5-9khz range, other than that its flawless. I like the faux-preamp work as well, it came out surprisingly balanced. Keep it up- c ya in front of the board-

I've been listening to The John Butler Trio for a while now and have been a big fan, especially of their live stuff. This Chicago show was my first opportunity to see them myself. I had been hyping it up for weeks before hand, and I must say, they did not dissapoint at all. This was one of the best live shows I've been to. They played some of the best versions of old favorites, and it was great to hear some new stuff as well. I was very happy to see this show up here so quickly. Not only a swift upload, but great quality as well. No one will be able to listen to this show and not love it.

Subject: Great show / recording
From KC, drove up to the show and was not disappointed. Thanks for uploading the show and providing me with the ultimate suevenire. This is my first time downloading from the site, although I periodically browse, wasn't sure which format to download, choose one of the mp3's.

Subject: thank you
i just wanted to thank you for putting this up on the archive. i was at the day before's show, and im waiting for it to come up, but this is good enough.
the ocean was amazing. as always. but this recording's sound quality was impeccable. the audience clapping kind of takes away from the initial beauty of it but none the less, this is a journey i am glad john let us experience.

Thanks a lot for recording and posting this show, made my day. I actually thought the crowd was pretty terrible until "Peaches" and I can actually hear the show much better on your recording without all the people talking around me as strange as that may sound. Great JBT show, still think Park West beats it, but a great night, thanks again.

Hey man,
Its the kid who asked you about posting on archive.org after the show!
Thanks again for posting it so quickly!
Im excited to hear the show again.
Honestly, this show had the BEST artist to audience connection EVER!
John really felt his audience at this show. The guy looked like he was going to cry! It was amazing!
Thanks again for posting it!
Patrick.
Notes: My 7-pin cable is damaged, so the UA5 acted as a preamp feeding an analog signal to my M1. It also served as an A/D to an excellent patcher, Mike. Thanks for the beers! We need more patchers like you! There are a few interesting artifacts on the master DAT that I cannot explain, but the tape is very listenable to my ears. I do enjoy it, I hope you do, too!
