JD LasicaThe Cinematic Internet

Eric B. Kim, senior vice president at Intel Corp., announces a new kind of interactive television -- "connected television," beginning with customized TV widgets and ushering in the era of what Intel and Yahoo call the cinematic Internet.

In this 11-minute video, Kim shows off some of the widgets you'll find on upcoming broadband-enabled digital TVs: flickr, twitter, stocks and sports among them.

This was shot with a Nokia N95 cell phone at the Intel Developer Forum on Aug. 20, 2008, at Moscone West in San Francisco.
