Beginning in 2005, three albums were produced that would set the tone for the next 5 years of music production- a period of immense creative effort. Setting out with little more than a guitar and some very basic computer software, this music came together without any coherent plan, purely out of a desire to create music.
The tracks contain soft strumming, meandering bass riffs and melodic acoustic hooks- though not exclusively. On top of those comes layers of ambience, sometimes fleeting, sometimes dominating. Without the professional choral vocals desired, Jack Anderton decided to do it himself, which lends certain tracks an almost embarrassing intimacy. The music is at its best, beautiful, innocent and involving, and its style informs Jack Anderton's work today. A combination of this intimacy with the music's naivety makes this a very private journey, which in a world of conceptual absurdity and cynical production is no bad thing.
