If you don't mind listening to Jack Benny in Real Player format (i.e., I believe, Real Audio), then you can find a couple hundred Jack Benny episodes at www.otr.net beginning with his first show in 1932, up and including his final show in 1955. Not sure if they have an episode on Ed (the security guard for his vault) or not; if they do, it should be funny; you might have to search.
Definitely check out:

and listen to show Contest Winners. If it's not one of the funniest (or best... take your choice), I'll buy first round at the pub in Dublin. You might have to wait a while for me to get there, but you get the point.
And, I agree that Fred Allen is great on radio; Mr. Benny took from Mr. Allen the idea of a continuing cast of characters who got laughs in their own right. Unfortunately, Mr. Allen's radio genius didn't cross over to television. He

Thank you for your invaluable information. I have looked up Joan Bennys Biography of her Father. Its called Sundays At Seven and I've managed to track down a secondhand copy on Amazon. While I was searching I came across another Biography by Mary Livingston and I have ordered that also. I am currently reading Fred Allen's biography called Fred Allen His Wit and Wisdom Its by Robert Taylor and is an excellent read. Fred Allen is also a favourite of mine and I think his style is still relevent today What do you think?.The "feud" between him and Jack Benny was fantastic and I loved the Fred Allen show where he describes how he discovered Jack Benny and Jack Bennys account of how he discovered Fred Allen. Hilarious! I will try at some stage to track some George Burns titles as I am also a great fan of this man. Anyway thanks for your help its appreciated and if you happen to come across any more "Benny" material let me know.

I grew up listening to tapes of Jack Benny. The guy still makes me crack up. I no longer have those tapes, so it was GREAT to hear him online.
Thanks!
