Subject: Two Comic Masters
Subject: Two Comic Masters
I agree with the previous poster - what a privilege to see not one, but two comic masters at the prime of their abilities! Which was from when they first got famous until they died, actually. But, a hilarious episode, full of adlibs and it had me laughing out loud it was so funny.
What was so racist about the jungle costumes? Things like that were actually worn by natives in Africa. That would be like calling me a rascist because I dress like a Preppie. Just wearing costumes is not a rascist offense. And why do people consider it rascist if actors wear native costumes? Nobody considered Benny or Hope rascist for wearing white man's clothing, did they? Isn't that the same thing? If so, then everybody could be considered rascist because they dress like somebody else does. I wish people would quit crying rascism over every little trivial thing such as this.
Notwithstanding the false rascism charge attributed to this episode, download it and enjoy it - it will make you laugh. You can't go wrong with Jack Benny or Bob Hope.

Funny episode but was ruined for me by the racist 'Jungle costumes'. Yes, I know it was the times; but I wonder how Eddie Anderson felt having to watch it.
Still, Jack Benny and Bob Hope are priceless. Hope was on Benny's radio program also...very funny.

Subject: A Delight
Subject: A Delight
What a delight it is to see a comedy show with not just one, but two comics who are real comics. These two men knew how to do comedy unlike the obnoxious hemorriods passing as comics we have today like Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Carry for example, who are witless, unskilled, and just plain nothing.
