Musicians perspective: This was the first ever gig with this particular trio. I absolutely adore Norm's guitar in that it fills in the middle space so I can relax a little on my right hand comping. Plus his chords are so full and diverse...yummy! Gary has obviously been practicing his backing vocals. Nice! Both Gary and Norm had some cool moments on their instruments. Jaw dropping stuff in my opinion. On the other hand (and in my forward drive towards perfection), there are obviously some chord anomalies where Norm and I aren't in synch. What do ya want for the first time playing together? We have one more gig in a few days where it's a single set of songs out at Battelle and then the three of us will sit down and determine whether to move forward and continue gigging. Perhaps if it's just one gig a month it will work for all of our schedules.
