Steven 'Bartz' BrooksKirby Super Star (SNES) - Runs of the 5 main games (Total - 1:03:49) - Steven Brooks (2005)

Speed runs of the five main games from Kirby Super Star done in February 2005. The Dynablade run gets both secret exists can be considered 100%. Available in three versions: low quality, normal quality, and 60 fps high quality.

Author's comments:
Thanks go to Nate for transferring this from VHS to AVI.

This is my second run, and I decided that it will be of Kirby Super Star, I'm not sure how to go about this, so I will just write what I think about the run.

Spring Breeze-

Stage 1 - I made a few mistakes around it, but it wasn't too bad. Poppy Bros. Sr. was very generous, and he gave me a bomb very quickly after I encountered him. I've found the fastest way to get rid of Whispy Woods is the bomb ability, so I chose that to get rid of him.
Stage 2 - Again, few mistakes, but nothing really bad. I took the crash because it's the fastest and easiest I've found to beat Lololo and Lalala.
Stage 3 - I almost died in this level, good thing I beat Kracko pretty well.
Stage 4 - I didn't do Dedede very well, lots of mistakes, but I beat him anyway.

Dyna Blade-

This is a 100% run for Dyna Blade (meaning, I found the two secret exits).

Stage 1 - Probably the best part of it. I made minimal mistakes, and did pretty well.
Stage 2 - I couldn't get into the door (for some reason). Also, I did get the secret to the level as well. a few mistakes, but nothing too drastic.
Stage 3 - I made a death that cost me (a preventable one at that). I should have been more cautious in this level.
Stage 4 - I had a little trouble with the yoyo at some parts. Also got the secret to this level, and had a little trouble with the copy guys too. I'm not sure why I kept the COM player, but I get rid of him later.
Stage 5 (boss) - getting rid of the COM player slowed me down. Boss could've been better, though.

Meta-Knight-

Ch. 1 - Took the yoyo because it works best for this level. You might notice the Heavy Lobster. You cannot defeat him, because when the bird says, "take off," thats when you're blown away.
Ch. 2 - I didn't know why I blocked in the battle. Took the Maximum Tomato, had a little trouble with the yoyo; I really should have taken the bomb ability, it would've made the boss battle a little quicker.
Ch. 3 - Made the mistake of blowing up the road. Lost my yoyo ability, but gained the fire.
Ch. 4 - This is the Chapter I always died in, luckily I made it this time without dying. I should've left the plasma guy alone, lost me time on that. Took the sword to make the battle easier, then took the Yoyo to make the boss easier.
Ch. 5 - Had a little trouble getting the yoyo to respond, but other than that it wasn't bad. Yoyo made Heavy Lobster easy.
Ch. 6 - Whoa, I almost died on this, luckily I got out of it. I made a near perfect switch pull. Not too many mistakes.
Ch. 7 - Beat Meta-Knight pretty badly; not too bad of an escape time too.

Great Cave Offensive

This is a Minimal run, meaning, I did not pick up any treasures. Thats why it's so short. This run was pretty good, I have no complaints about it, other than the struggle with the fighter ability at the start.

No 100%, but if you bug me enough, I might consider doing it in the next update.

Milky Way Wishes

This is a different kind of game where you have to find the abilities to use yourself. My personal favorite game in Kirby Super Star.

Aqualiss - I picked up the Parasol so that I would have something before getting the Sword ability, Then I got the Sword to battle the whale.
Flora - Pretty much perfect, I have no complaints, but I did do a little detour near the end.
Cavious - Pretty good, I made little mistakes, and I also got the bomb and hammer abilities in this one too.
Hotbeat - Not too bad. I did the hammer throw move because it was faster than just beating him down.
Skyhigh - No compaints, just a few mistakes.
Mecheye - This one wasn't so bad. I did a perfect switch press. I changed to the bomb ability to make it quicker to defeat the hammer guy, then did the hammer throw on Heavy Lobster.
Half Moon - Not sure what to write about this, I have no complaints.
Nova - I love this level. A shooting level, meaning I can't make any improvements. I had to take a hit from one of the targets because I couldn't get through there.
Marx battle - I pretty much had to conserve energy otherwise I would have a death. Conserved energy while beating Marx.

Well, there you go, engoy my run(s), and I hope to be back with another run real soon.
