Kauai Hawaii - KKCR Hawaii's only community radio station was the scene of a bloodless coup in 1996. The Coup by board members who changed the bylaws removing all member voting rights to elect the board of directors and conferred those rights to themselves. This video documents two community programmers attempt to enter KKCR and do their program. They are met with locked gates, security, and police who have been informed by KKCR management that a "protest" is occurring. Police force a supporter of the programmers to the ground and arrest him for trespass and resisting arrest.

Boy KKCR must really pay the bills their. They are scared that is why so much force. The police is correct they serve the one that feeds. This story sounds like public access television on Maui. Shameful just shameful. kepalo
