The video starts on the London South Bank with Critical Mass then moves to People in Common in Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square, who seemingly were the only people on the day to dare defy the SOCPA Exclusion Zone. If someone is carrying a placard bearing words within the Zone they are liable to arrest, hence the blank placard.
"On 1 August 2005 Section 132 of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 (SOCPA) came into force, making any protest in the 'designated area' - up to 1km around Parliament - illegal unless police permission has first been received."
Later at the Bank of England the Space Hijackers did a spoof Police victory celebration of finally suppressing the Anarchist and Pagan celebration of London Mayday, which in the past had been massive, bringing thousands out onto our streets. Moving back to Trafalgar Square, the Anarchist Autonomous Bloc on the Trade Unions March arrived, where they were pushed around and contained by police.
The video finally ends on a happy note in the Square, after the Unions had gone, with dancing to 'Pedals', a much appreciated Critical Mass sound system.
