So-so episode.
An unscrupulous land developer wants to build a gambling resort on a beautiful unspoiled island. He needs a bridge built there first, connecting the island to the mainland. But, something or someone is causing problems for the engineers who go to the island to work on the bridge. The bad guy developer knows one man who can help him, and he calls on his daughter to help persuade the man to help. The only problem dad can forsee is that she used to be engaged to the other man. The daughter feels she can "Trick" the man into signing on to help dad...
Most of the people in this episode fit their parts well. The woman playing "Marina" does not. She is far too "macho" for the part of Robert Stack's fiance. They might as well have hired Ernest Borgnine to play the role. The role called for someone who could at least pretend to be sweet and alluring. This woman comes across like Sargent Carter in Gomer Pyle, USMC!!!
The woman who plays "Mrs. Patchin", the older woman on the island was Ruth White. Ms. White played Miss Dubose in the wonderful movie, "To Kill A Mockingbird". She had a great career and was in many other good films, "The Reivers", "Midnight Cowboy", "Hang 'Em High" and others. She was a successful stage actress as well.
Not the best episode of this show, but still worth a watch.
