Local Resonance is WYCE's new program dedicated to West Michigan's music scene. Local Resonance doesn't just play music from local artists - instead, we like to say that we tell the stories of people in our community through the music in their lives. That means that we'll take a look at music that's produced and created locally, but we'll also feature live music events from local, national and international acts, and we'll take a look at music of all kinds that the people of West Michigan are listening to.
The first show of 2008... We'll hear about upcoming concerts from Tricia Woolfenden of the Grand Rapids Press, and get a tongue-in-cheek top-ten list from writer Troy Reimink -- offering his words of advice for local bands this New Year. Plus, in-studio guest Seth Bernard had to call in sick, so local old-time string band Hawks and Owls was able to slip in as a last-minute sub. They'll talk about the Water Festival, taking place at Wealthy Theatre on January 5th.
