A near flawless recording of a great show with a few rarely performed tracks - essential!

Subject: old Low soundboard? amazing!
This is a true gem of a recording! Many thanks to whomever go this up on the archive, I am sure it will please many people. I have to give this the highest rating for the source and era it represents. There are far too few beautys like this out there. Extremely respectful crowd, wonderful sound, chatty Alan/Mimi-you really can't ask for more! Fantastic addition, recommended to all who appreciate these wonderful musicians.

Notes

One of the first Low live tapes to widely circulate, and still one of the best. Near-perfect soundboard recording by Texas taper M. W., containing the only live recording I've ever seen of "Laugh", plus what is probably the first-ever performance of an unfinished "No Need". The crowd's a little noisy, but the fact that it's a soundboard recording cuts most of that out. Nice performance, with some funny sarcastic comments from the band. Highly recommended to all.

Many copies of this were taken from a transfer I did in the late '90s which was split onto 2 CDs, but this is taken from a fresh transfer done in May 2008. Levels are perfect (peak at 0 dB), and the only things I've done were to put a slight fade-in at the start, and to reduce a stray electrical pop in "No Need". Otherwise, it's exactly as I got it (with the sample rate conversion, that is).

You may be able to fit this on a single CD with overburn, or if you need to trim things down, there's about a minute of applause and dead air at the end of "Mom Says" that could be trimmed.
