MP3 Blogs : A Silver Bullet for the Music Industry or a Smoking Gun for Copyright Infringement?
This paper was written as an independent research project in my last semester of law school (Cardozo '06). I chose the topic because of my love for MP3 blogs and the important role they play as my primary means of exposure to new music and information about everything from emerging styles and forgotten bands to new releases by mainstream artists. The information provided in the paper does not constitute legal advice and is not intended by the author to do so. Any one in need of legal advice relating to issues contained in the paper should contact a lawyer who specializes in copyright law. However, I am happy to discuss any of the issues contained within the paper as I understand them in my personal, rather than professional, opinion.
