SYPHA NADONSYPHA NADON: UNIVERSE B: CLOSER (Anthology 2) [MZR003] (April 13, 2007)

Second in the series of anthologies collecting rare Sypha Nadon material. This record is dedicated to Wendy Carlos, whose score for the film "A Clockwork Orange" was a huge influence when I was at a young age. It is also dedicated to the Vatican Gun Club and all 9mm automatic users everywhere. Perhaps a trigger to the fourth secret of Fatima (Pope as Anti-Christ) it is to the memory of victims of terrorists everywhere. During the conference on tactics memories serve as slaves. Long live the Booda Carrot!

Notes

This is the second Sypha Nadon anthology. It collects material primarily from the "120 Songs of Sodom" boxset, a 10 CD set of 120 songs created by Sypha Nadon in 2005. Other songs from this box set have appeared on SN releases found on the This Plague of Dreaming netlabel, namely the entire "Enter Horus" EP and all of "11 Chants for Russolo!" save the last track "DNA Blood Madonna." This new collection features 11 songs from the "Sodom" box set, along with a track named "Baudelaire Void" that has never appeared on any SN release in any format (a song that has the special distinction of being the longest Sypha Nadon song ever recorded, being over 24 minutes long). The material on this album spans a wide range of years, the oldest track being "Flowers of Beauty" (which was created in 2001), the most recent being songs such as "Metal Maggots" and "Black Mass" (2005). In the future MZR hopes to release further songs from the "120 Songs of Sodom" collection, along with other SN-related rarities. As always, those interested in hearing more SN music should check the This Plague of Dreaming netlabel. Seek and ye shall find.

MZR003 note: "Nibelungen" features a special guest appearance by Nico.

Album design, back cover art by James Champagne.
