This is Mauve Zone Recordings first release to come from someone outside of Sypha Nadon/James Champagne/etc. This album, which consists of one very long track, is quite hypnotic and, eventually, unsettling. I created Hard & Evil in 2006. An Italian label were supposed to release it but for whatever reason, didn’t. I originally intended to create an album of about ten songs that all used similar samples, but with very intricate changes. Obviously it ended up as one whole piece. At the time I was feeling particularly fed up with the idea of The Song. So I was listening to and playing around with longer compositions. These are the results. TM
