This collaborative project was begun back in the 1980's, left to ferment for over fifteen years, then finished in August, 2005. Analog and digital synthesizers, actual human voices, found sounds, sampled recordings, electronic guitar, Frippertronics-style tape loops, computer effects, computer generated sounds and voices, oddly-played old phonograph records, and more, make up the various building blocks on which these pieces were constructed.
On tracks 1 - 5, Phinney digitally manipulates and adds to original sonics recorded by Goff on analog tape in the 1980’s:
