Making the Theory is a documentary about a little-known video game podcast that debuted in October 2005 and ended in August 2006. This was originally released as part of the "Video Game Theory, Volume One" DVD archive released in 2007, which also included the entire Video Game Theory podcast archive as well as other bonus features.
The entire documentary was unofficially an exercise in extremely low budget production, utilizing little more than a Logitech webcam, an iBook G4, iMovie/iDVD/Garageband/Audacity/The GiMP software, and, eventually, a 250 GB external hard drive. This was the first major video project created by Ricky Coulter, who has since gone on to produce numerous video projects for his Video Production course as well as several promotional videos and TV and Radio commercials for National Park Community College. He has also worked in various positions on several short films while at NPCC, including Director, Writer, and Editor.
