Global Illumination is a way of simulating realistic lighting by mimicking the way light is reflected between objects in real life.

In this 20 minute video, I talk about the basics of Global Illumination and show different ways to get the realistic lighting results you want, using the free software package Art of Illusion. Once you understand the basic principles, using GI in Art of Illusion is incredibly easy.
