Subject: well made for its time, wildly presumtive
this movie wasnt the laugh riot that i expected, but did serve me with a few chuckles.
by 1936 standards, this film was well directed acted and shot.once again, not nearly as stupid as i expected.
if your a stoner, you'll be entertained....

essentially this is a drama about a life of crime with drugs as a sub plot to propell the subject along.

it seems to me it was "pulped" by having the title to sell more tickets.

to the person bugging about his sister and the jerk reviewers...get a life. no one put a gun to your sisters head and made her make the decisions she made.
however, im certain you have made many chuckle at your rant, thus causing the exact opposite effect you wanted.

Subject: My, what "helpful" revues from a couple of jerks.
First the description of this film was so smug (wink, wink) *heh, heh, snort, snort, ain't this film hilarious*, and then the reviewer obviously thinks he's clever. Clever like a jack ass. In the 1970's I watched as my older sister almost killed herself by starting on "harmless" marijuana. It dulled her brain which allowed her to kick her common sense out the door. She started taking more kinds of drugs, got pregnant by one guy, visited an emergency room because of some crap another guy gave her, then she ran away from home and it was years before we heard from her again. She was in her late 30's when she got her life back together again. Her life was a warning to me, and I took another road. I am angry about your cavalier attitude about this. Stupid jerks.
