"Help Us Help You" is the first album by Brian Ruskin under the moniker Mental Health Consumer. Recorded and initially released in 2006, "Help Us Help You" is a free-flowing collection of ten atmospheric electronic tracks. Several tracks were programmed and recorded live; others are "half-live" - a hybrid of studio and real-time elements. Mental Health Consumer efforts were begun to attempt a more immediate, emotional compositional style; in this sense, "Help Us help You" is a danceable record with an emotional core, but with roughly produced edges and a sense of experimentation.
