"I was reading about the Occupy Wallstreet protests when 3 phrases got my attention: 1. A Clear Set of Goals and 2&3 Decency and To Educate Myself. I thought about the protesters, two goals that have been very important to me and to the protesters themselves. Not only is a OWS movement known for it's decency (dignity, non-violence, respect) but they spread knowledge. Their words are all over the internet and in the media and they should make us curious to find out what's happening. In my opinion decency and (self-)education are two clear goals we needs to preserve to make this world a habitable place (again). Don't protest because you're angry, protest because you know WHY you're angry. The system we're forced to live in, lost it's decency and it's hunger for knowledge and that's a dangerous combination. It paves the way for indifference, corruption, hate and greed. It opens a door to oppression and inequality.
Quite frankly, this is what Misantronics has been trying to do for the past year or so. I want people to go to Wikipedia, type in the titles to my tracks and see what they're about. And that's what Amex Nori is about. I want to make it a decent platform for information, music and respect.
So if you must protest, have the decency to educate yourself and educate yourself decency..." - Misantronics 2011
