Reviewer:J Lehmus - - March 6, 2006 Subject: My response is a poem After watching Mommartz's film I had some more of wine Contemplating the pretty solid circle it describes In a landscape crossed with tractor trails and canals. And with the atlas laid open across the kitchen table the snowfall appears slightly different.
And the day has Silence written all over it and invites questions
Remembering the unknown churches and factory buildings, the alcohol and the song, the winter and the wretched fish, the old age The language that almost entirely escapes me, I, at least I hope, my dreams dreams tonight will be of Eden
Reviewer:Alise Chandler - - March 4, 2006 Subject: The Garden of eden The film is a beauty. Profound , poetic, raw, tender and mystical. It needs patience to watch. You need to slow down and yield to the almost meditative pace , but you could be rewarded with a shift in your awareness. Be sure to watch Der Garten Eden Part1. This film is in German with no subtitles unfortunately.
