Subject: Depression Era Mother's Day
Sentimental clips of motherhood filmed at the height (or maybe I should say the depths) of the Depression. No matter how bad times get, Mom is always there for us. There was no attempt to portray mothers as energetic or youthful in those days, it was OK to look and be old. Of course, there were a lot fewer old people than there are now. Old age was accepted as a fact of life. In 1935, FDR signed the Social Security Act and saved many elderly women and men from a humiliating and poverty-striken old age.

Subject: Sentimental
Sentiment is not always a bad thing-especially when it deals with mothers. A cute little promotional from a bygone era.

A nice simple (but effective) salute to the women that brought us here in the first place, Our mothers! While the word MOTHER is displayed, letter by letter, we some nice images of mothers in action. Quite a nice little bit.

Subject: Motherhood.
The clip is dialogue free and totally built on sentimentality.

It is highly reminiscent of the music only scenes in the "Our Gang/ Little Rascal" scenes.

Short and obviously designed to be commercial like just before or at the end of some show such as "Our Gang" and such when it came out.

Odd seen by itself. But, cute as an add on to some short classic as originally intended.
