We were building a better world and then this tragedy came and destroyed our hopes
Oh. the pity of it all. Patriots such as Lindberg. Henry Ford, Prescott Bush etc had great plans for a Great USA. Regrets and lost dreams.( I would have hated the world that they were planning. )

Ships on fire!
A very nice review of the sneaky Jap attack (their words) on Pearl Harbor. We see all sorts downed ships and planes (the ship footage we've all seen before, so it was nice to see the plane stuff), and some interesting factoids about how some of the damage was inflicted by Japanese Submarines.
The next footage is some rather cool footage of the S.S. Normandie, which first started out as a luxury liner, then commissioned by the US war department to become a war vessel. Fire suddenly breaks out, and because of the volume of water on the ship from the hoses, keels over. efforts are made to try to adjust her, but during the night she finally falls on her side. Amazing footage. "Was the fire an accident? Was it sabotage? We may never know?". Stuff like this makes me do more research, and according to several reports, while she was being loaded with supplies, a spark from a welder's torch ignited a bale of lifejackets, lighting her on fire. So there. Nice historical film, strongly reccomended!
